In 2024, the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley While took over the management of the Fitzroy Crossing Tourism website and saw an opportunity to merge their digital assets into an all-in-one tourism website that would encompass everything from Derby to Fitzroy Crossing, the Gibb River Road, and the West Kimberley Coast, under the umbrella of their new tourism brand ‘Australia’s Boab Country’.

The Design

With an immersive design that makes use of both photography and videography assets, the new website provides a one-stop-shop for all tourism-related information in the region. Highlighting the landscapes, wildlife, and cultural heritage, the site offers a clean, user-friendly layout with strategically placed content areas to enhance the visitor experience. The colour palette, inspired by the earthy tones and vibrant accents found in the Kimberley’s natural environment, creates a visually appealing and cohesive experience. The overall aesthetic is both inviting and informative, perfectly capturing the adventurous and scenic spirit of the region.

Market Creations Agency collaborated with the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley to develop a digital strategy that positions the area as a premier tourism destination. The new website features a dynamic video rotator and prominent quick links for easy navigation. A bold social media feed and interactive events calendar captivate visitors, showcasing the region's appeal as they explore the homepage.
