About the client

Founded over 170 years ago, the St Vincent de Paul Society is a not-for-profit that works to combat social injustice and assist those in need. With a presence across Australia, St Vincent de Paul Society aims to help the most vulnerable through support services as diverse as assisting refugees, feeding the homeless and mental health services. 

The Program

Vinnies has recently designed a new Recycled Waste Program. This new waste management model is a partnership between Vinnies WA and Suez for the treatment of recyclables through the new Container Deposit Scheme. The program can provide schools with a cost effective alternative to their current waste management as well as raise funds to change lives in their local community. The program consists of firstly collecting eligible containers in the special bins provided. Then Suez will collect the bins and take them to a refund point. All funds will then be donated to Vinnies WA. 

The Brief

St Vincent de Paul Society contacted Market Creations Agency to help them create a new name, logo, and tagline for their school recycling fundraiser program. The team were briefed to design a logo that was fun, made recycling to be an enjoyable task, appealed to both primary and high school students and could include the use of a character or mascot. The brand also needed to align with Vinnies WA corporate branding while the program name needed to speak to the bigger impact students would be having by recycling old bottles and cans.

The Outcome

The consultancy team worked alongside St Vincent de Paul listening to feedback, liaising with all involved parties, and offering creative solutions to reach the desired outcome. Our team of experienced graphic designers presented four logo concepts and naming propositions to be discussed further and refined before a final logo was to be chosen. The team rolled out their new brand, including a corporate style guide, Mailchimp template, stationary design, and promotional signage. The St Vincent de Paul Society were grateful to Market Creations Agency for seamlessly delivering their brief of a fresh, original, and creative new identity for their recycling fundraiser program.
