About the Client

The City of Nedlands is a metropolitan council situated in the inner western suburbs of Perth. Nedlands is a charming and vibrant neighbourhood with beautiful parks and gardens, tree-lined streets, and natural bushland.

The City’s vision is to foster an environmentally sensitive, beautiful, and inclusive place for the people in the community to live, work and play. As part of that commitment to provide quality services, they partnered with Market Creations Agency to revitalise their website in order to provide an effective online community resource.  

The Brief

The City of Nedlands was seeking a new and modern website to reflect their corporate brand and lively community. The website also needed to serve as a portal for residents, businesses, visitors, and various stakeholders to access key information and services.

Our goal was to create an engaging user experience and convey the brand story to highlight the City’s values and high-quality services. Improving the site navigation and responsive web design was also a priority to ensure visitors can find information easily using any device.

Bespoke Design

Inspired by its diverse and forward-thinking community, the website design is tailored to the City of Nedlands’ corporate style guide to ensure cohesiveness in brand execution. The homepage features numerous content feeds that aid accessibility of information and user engagement. The dynamic feeds include Latest News, Events Calendar, a customised Facebook feed, and an e-newsletter sign-up form.

Refined UX

The City of Nedlands website serves as the entry point to its services, facilities and projects, and is a valuable communication tool used to engage with community members. Our dedicated UX design team focused on constructing a tailored homepage that was visually appealing and offered intuitive navigation. The design elements and content on the landing page are thoughtfully designed to encourage brand interaction and scrolling.
