About the client

Located 17km from Perth in the southern suburbs of the Western Australian and immediately northeast of the port city of Fremantle, East Fremantle is bounded by the Swan River from the north and west and is a town with a rich history. The first area was settled by the Swan River colonists in 1829 and later separated from the City of Fremantle in 1897 to become an independent local authority. 

Prior to this, the local Aboriginal people known as Nyungar/Whadjuk obtained food and drinking water from the river foreshore and open grassy areas. Today the town boasts a multicultural community of approximately 7,900. 

The Brief

The Town of East Fremantle wanted to highlight their accomplishments and successes as well as provide an update on the progress of the Strategic Community Plan. Market Creations Agency worked with the Town to create a clear, logically structured document with designed infographics that showcased the information in a way that was accessible and easy to understand for the reader.

We are currently working with East Fremantle to produce their 2021 Annual Report and a range of other projects.

Community Engagement

Market Creations Agency worked closely with the Town of East Fremantle, liaising with all involved parties, implementing feedback, and offering creative solutions to reach the best possible outcome. We came to a conclusion that the local community should be represented in the Annual Reports through images taken by the community and showcasing award-winning statistics that the Town and the community are proud of.
